Sunday Eve Guests Amirali, Geddes and Klartraum

New month, new show, new guests, the series continues with three specials. In April Nadja Lind did a great job contributing an exclusive mix to the Colair.FM radio show, a mix that featured her project ‘Klartraum’ that she is doing in collaboration with Helmut Ebritsch. Klartraum released their deep yet wonderfully eclectic second album “Secret Moon” on May 22nd, on Nadja’s and Helmut’s own imprint Lucidflow. “Secret Moon” is a rich and diverse collection of tracks that reflect Klartraum’s journey since the release of their debut LP, “Evolution” in 2011. I invited both to a chat about the label, Klartraum and their expectations on the new album.

Have you ever heard of mulletover or murmur? I guess you have, otherwise listen up to Stuart Geddes telling you about his career involving the founding of club night and label mulletover and murmur - Stuart also picked three favorite tracks to introduce them in the show.

Last but not least and today’s highlight already, I have Crosstown Rebels’ new hero Amirali for an interview. I’m over the moon to be showcasing his debut album “In Time” that is being released on the number one label in the world (Resident Advisor 2011)! Amirali jumped at the chance to present three of his favorite tracks as well. Stay tuned!

It’s competition time, win two copies of Soul Clap’s “EFUNK” debut on Wolf + Lamb< and two copies of Geddes’ “mulletover: The Story So Far 2004-2012” compilation mixed by him. All the best!

Since there are so many great releases out now that truly can’t be played in 60 minutes, I started to recommend unplayed ones that will be listed in the info sheet as well, needless to say links to previews on SoundCloud provided.

preparing for May 20th

Folks,

this month’s show serves you three specials, two competitions and dozens of new and partly unreleased stuff out of the EDM scene, in only 60 minutes. Impossible! Indeed, hundreds of unread e-mails with promotional content that needs to be listened, hundreds of spoken words recorded in a Skype chat that needs to be reworked, selected tracks out of the promo pool that needs to be glued together, and some creative input that someone would call moderation. I really need some help! And feedback of course! Guys do you like that?

The confirmed specials are

You can win

  • - two copies of Soul Clap’s debut album ”EFUNK“ out on Wolf + Lamb
  • - two copies of “mulletover. The Story so far 2004-2012” mixed by Geddes

Artist albums that will be mentioned

  • - Ame’s “Live” out on Innervisions (released May 7th)
  • - DJ W!LD’s “Dirty” out on Cabin Fever (released May 14th)
  • - “Body Language Vol 11” mixed by Nôze out on Get Physical (released May 18th)

Artist album previews

You better tune in! CU Sunday, May 20th 5pm CET.

Colair.FM Guest Chris Hreno

The sun came up only one time between Chris Hreno’s guest DJ set in Dresden and this broadcast. After an amazing night spinning records in the club with his Montreal mate Colin de la Plante as the duo Valerie Temple Boyd, he now contributes a mix to Colair.FM, with some works of genius straight out of his record bag. Chris is a talented artist born in Montreal and living in Berlin now, he has collaborated with Mathew Jonson and Cobblestone Jazz and released on Sound Architecture and Fur Trade to name a few. He has performed at various clubs and festivals including Der Visionaries, Arena, Watergate, Tresor, Stereo, Effenaar, The City Is Yours, and Montreal’s Mutek Festival. Chris is a nice guy on his way to conquer the world, and I appreciate his short stop to spin records and hope you love the next 80 minutes of quality music. Cheers!

Kid Bliss’ ‘Disco Shit’ was a treat featured on the 10th volume of the Body Language series mixed by M.A.N.D.Y. – Now Kid Bliss is back with a handfull of remixes to throw your way.

Digitaline brings a heavy groove to the table. The remix takes a new direction and begins with just a string of kicks, before opening the hi-hats and bass.

Tim Winters slowly pulls the covers off before hitting the bass with all the right intentions. The chords slowly build toward achieving the nu-disco feel of the original. Tim adds a bit of a deeper feel to the mix to complete the remix.

The ‘Retouch’ adds an updated flair to the original track, keeping things current with a few cuts here and there, a very interesting listen.

SIOPIS lays his version on us, with his singature deep vibes and dirty basslines. A solid addition to a great EP.
